A TEA-ny bit OF HISTORY:
Apparently the name Siesta Ware went into use in 1948 but the trademark was not issued by Benner Glass Company until 1963. Siesta Ware is known for its characteristic metal bands at the top and bottom of its glasses, often with wooden handles. This company was based out of Jacksonville, Florida but also had manufacturing facilities in Los Angeles.
Similar Siesta Ware beer mugs are shown on the “I love Lucy” 1952’s episode, Breaking The Lease as the Ricardos and Mertzes toast to their friendship.
