Sorry for the tardiness in posting this butter tart recipe.
First and foremost, let me say that I am not a baker
but I do like to indulge in sweets
so it helps to have a few tricks up my sleeve when the craving sets in.
This is so easy to make yet it is a winner!
So here goes … simple butter tart recipe for your enjoyment.
Try making a batch and let me know what you think.
It doesn’t get much easier than this!
¼ cup butter
¼ cup brown sugar
1 pinch salt
½ cup corn syrup
½ tsp vanilla
1 package of Tenderflake mini tart shells (18)
(or any puff pastry tart shells from the frozen section of your grocery store)
Melt butter in the microwave, add other ingredients,
whisk and pour into uncooked tart shells.
Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit
for 15 -20 minutes
Optional: Add pecans to uncooked tart shells and then pour in liquid mixture for pecan tarts. Bake for an equally yummy treat!
If you have extra time, you may want to try your hand at making your own puff pastry crust. I have done it once and it’s definitely better but I need a few more practices to perfect it!
